10 Ways to Kickstart Your Body Through a Healthy Soul

If you think you are selfish to want to put yourself first, you may never stop packing on the pounds. You may need to dig a bit deeper and discover that your soul is your true inner being, not all of the parameters around it. If we can’t take care of ourselves, how are we supposed to take care of others?

While what we choose to eat plays a vital role in our overall health, it’s not the only factor in our well being. Partaking in good habits can deliver excellent benefits that will give you a peaceful feeling in your soul, as well as positive effect on your body.

If you truly want to change your body and your overall well being, you need to believe in yourself. Being in touch with your soul can enable you to have a more mindful, conscious life and a better relationship with your body.

Here are 10 ways that you can discover and kick start your soul in order to connect with your body for a healthy state of mind and being.

Do things that you love: Doing things you love gives you the opportunity to get in touch with your soul. The more you give your soul the things it loves, the stronger it becomes and the more connected you will feel to it. The way we treat our bodies is a reflection of our own selves. The better we treat our bodies, the better we are to ourselves as a whole. Find healthy foods to eat and you will see how much better you feel. Energy will be up, sleep will be better and your overall being will improve.

Establish a relationship with your body: We all come in different shapes and sizes, but the way we care for our bodies and carry ourselves through everyday life does indeed send a message to the rest of the world. Taking care of our health and well being make us feel better about ourselves which in turn, makes us feel better about other things in the world. When you establish a healthy relationship with food your overall stature will change along with it. You will find that a few minor changes in eating habits add up to big results, hence, you feeling much better about yourself both mentally and physically.

Take part in nature: Nature truly is great for our well being and psyche. Time spent in nature has numerous benefits for every part of our mental, physical, social and psychological well being and emotions. Going outside will improve focus and concentration, strengthen your sense of meaning, enhance your energy, reduce depression, improve happiness and improve physical health. Think about feeding your body things that come from nature as well such as fruits and vegetables. It will ensure you are getting a healthy dose of fiber which leads to good digestion and that your body is getting the essential vitamins and minerals it needs.

Let go and release: Moving and exercise enables us to be free of all other issues for the short amount we are in our “zone.” Exercise is a stress reliever and enables us to think more clearly about our lives and God. Sometimes just the release of being in our own world for an hour or so gives us time to talk to God in private and release many emotions, thoughts and feelings. Get moving!

Exercise: Whatever form of exercise you choose to do will make you happier. We all know the benefits that we get from working out.  Mentally and physically, exercising is the key to a healthy body and soul. Find something you enjoy doing and stick with it. Not only does it provide you with a release, but it has numerous health benefits as well.

Build confidence and self esteem: Feeling good about ourselves is good for the soul.  Take the steps to self love and self promote and you will find inner peace. Building confidence and self esteem is something that you are in control of. Finding a sensible diet plan that will work for you will build self confidence. Seeing your body transform over the weeks and feeling healthier each day will empower you to keep going. The longer you can adhere to any weight loss or health plan, the more results you will see, and more self esteem will follow.

Meditation: Meditation clears the mind and promotes awareness. A calm mind equals a calm soul. Everything is being created within you, including a healthy body and mind. Take time out everyday to practice mindfulness. Feeding your soul, honoring your body, mind and spirit with provide you with a healthy body and healthy soul.

Keep a journal: Expressing yourself to a blank page will clarify your emotions, alleviate stress and solve problems in a calm and creative way.  Everyone has a story, and to sort it out on paper by journaling sends relief and sorts all kinds of emotions out, releasing trapped energy. Just like expressing yourself in a journal is good for the soul, so is journaling your food choices. Studies show that those who write down what they eat are much more likely to have success when losing weight.

Do away with doubt: Enhance your soul and take away the fear of failure. Ditch your anxiety about making a wrong decision. Throw out your self doubt. Once you do, you will be able to make such a difference for your own well being and the rest of the world.  Trust yourself. You are capable of much more than you think. Eating in a healthy manner will ensure you that you are in control and can take charge in changing your body and well being.

Be positive: Hope is something we are all able to practice. Hope is not an emotion, but rather a thought process that boosts your self confidence. Each of us is deserving of good things, and hope helps us to keep grinding and making an effort into putting in the hard work, even when it seems impossible. We can all create change in our world. Adhering to a healthy diet is hard work. It takes effort, even when times are tough. Sticking with it you will make you feel empowered and make you strong, both mentally and physically.
